Early Life
Born in an educated and respected family of Karachi , Pakistan and went to Paris , France for higher studies.
Started working in a company owned by the royal family of Bahrain . Then joined Hotel Shangrila in Bangkok , Thailand as sales executives for Middle-east and Europe, but soon left the job and went to Japan in 1981.
As a good athlete and a good squash player initially started teaching squash to young players in Japan and after a while he started his own business of carpets.
In 1985 Tanveer Jamal started his career in show business as a model working in the show business industry of Japan .
Show Business as a Career
In 1985 a friend who is related to show business in Japan introduce him to the show business and that's where Tanveer Jamal started hi career in show business as a model working in the show business industry of Japan . At that time Tanveer Jamal was only Pakistani working in the show business industry as an onscreen personality.
In 1988 moved to Pakistan and started working with a famous television director of Pakistan Mr. Kazim Pasha who introduced him to the television industry of Pakistan .
Tanvee Jamal worked in many drama series and serials and telefilms etc, his first hit television serial was the second serial he worked in “Raat Rait Aur Hawa” and his character of “Dr. Nasir” become very famous in 1991 just after his debut in television industry of Pakistan .
In 1993 he started his own Television production House and directed, produced many hit drama series, telefims, talk shows, cooking shows, reality shows and comedy shows, music programs and magazine shows.
His first experience as a director and producer was the hit drama serial “Gun Point”. Drama serial “Gun Point” was first of it kind, it was the first “Action Thriller” television drama serial for Pakistan , with lots of action for the first time helicopters, speed boats and assault weapons were used and showed on a television drama serial of Pakistan .
Gun Point was instantly bought but a private television station of Pakistan “NTM” but it was stopped from airing by the “Censor Board of Pakistan”, Tanveer Jamal fought long and hard for the airing of the show and finally got the show aired. The show becomes a hit instantly after the first episode aired on television.
Tanveer Jamal is one of the pioneers of private television productions in Pakistan . He made many television shows outside the Pakistan . Productions were done in Japan , Holland , USA , France , Germany and many other countries.
Tanveer Jamal introduced lots of new technicians, camera men, actors, directors in Pakistan 's television industry.
His company “The Changing Zone” is involved with Television Productions, Commercial Production, Advertising and Media Marketing business in Pakistan.
Personality and Personal Life
Tanveer Jamal has born 30th June 1960. He is very humble and loving personality, upfront and out spoken person, loves to read and collect books, loves to paint and collected painting, listen to music, a great admirer of nature, has very unique collection of books, paintings and sculptures, loves supporting upcoming artists, believes in high moral values.
Tanveer Jamal is married to a Japanese wife “Darakhshan”, he has three children “Reo Jibran” son and two daughters “Natasha” and Maya”. He lives in a beautiful house on the sea front of Karachi , Pakistan with lots of businessman and politicians as neighbors.
These days Tanveer Jamal is spending most of the time in Japan , planning to make a telefilm for the Japanese audiences.
